My name is Savannah, I’m a 23-year-old sports therapist originally from Manchester. In 2021, I moved to Preston to study at the University of Central Lancashire, where I graduated with a First-Class Honours degree in Sports Therapy and a Level 4 VTCT in Sports Massage.
During my studies, I gained hundreds of hours of valuable hands-on experience working with a variety of sports teams including St Helens Men’s Rugby first team, Tranmere Rovers FC, Burnley FC Men’s first team, Fleetwood town FC women’s team, first aid at Grasshoppers Rugby and working within a university massage clinic. These opportunities allowed me to develop a wide range of skills including deep tissue massage, manual therapy, injury rehabilitation, strength and conditioning, and taping.
My passion for sports therapy began at a young age. I competed in women’s artistic gymnastics all over the country for 10 years, during that time I suffered from several injuries that required rehabilitation. The expertise and support from rehabilitation specialists allowed me to continue competing in the sport that I loved. This sparked my interest in understanding how rehabilitation works and inspired me to pursue a career where I could help others recover, in order to perform at their best.
Today, my goal is to help people achieve their own physical goals. Whether that’s returning to the sport they love, maintaining fitness, recovering from injury, or simply reducing pain and tightness. I’m passionate about supporting every individual on their journey to feeling the best version of themselves.
