Reiki

Have you tried Reiki? The energy of Reiki can be used to great effect in many ways. Whether one is suffering from stress or tension, and the many symptoms associated with this, or wishing to improve the quality of relationships at home or at work, the beneficial effects of Reiki occur at many levels. Reiki can accelerate the healing of physical problems, balance the emotions, and may free us from restrictive mental attitudes. It may also provide us with a connection with inner wisdom.

Phone us on 01772 749389 to book your appointment with Claire, Gita or Yvonne

core-2

Core strength

Strengthening your core can be helpful for preventing back pain. But some core or ‘abs’ exercises can put your back under strain and increase your risk of problems. Ask your exercise instructor or trainer for safe alternatives for core exercises if you’re prone to back problems. And visit your chiropractor regularly to correct any imbalances. Here are some core exercises to try at home. If any exercises cause pain/discomfort stop immediately.

Posture exercises

If you have been suffering from aches and pains related to tight joints and muscles, or other irritated soft tissues, then probably some of the problem is related to your posture being out of balance.

When you have sat for prolonged periods or not exercised much, some muscles in your body have a natural tendency to switch off - they tend to lengthen and weaken. These muscles are your buttock muscles, abdominals, lower shoulder blade and front neck muscles. The opposite muscles to these tighten. These exercises are designed to help rebalance your muscles, to help you stand straighter more easily and reduce your risk of pain.

New deep tissue treatment coming soon

Next month we will be offering Warm Bamboo Massage

Bamboo massage is a popular new treatment technique in the UK. The bamboo is a very versatile massage tool which can deliver deep tissue massage to the legs, back, neck, shoulders, arms or feet. This technique is similar to Hot Stones, but more pressure can be applied and the bamboo stays warmer for longer than the stones.

Bamboo sticks originate from South East Asia and are one of the fastest growing plants on earth. They are steam pressed, shaped and varnished to create solid but smooth massage tools. With 12 different sizes available, they are perfect for a massage on all or any part of the body.

We will have an introductory offer of £40.00 for an hour throughout October.
