Advice for a healthy spine

The spine is made up of 25 bones (vertebrae) which are separated by fibroelastic cushions (discs). Throughout life, the spine is required to withstand considerable weight bearing stress, purely as a result of the pressures of daily living. As we age, the discs lose fluid, become tougher, and less able to respond to weight bearing loads.

It is never too late to take proper care of your spine and reduce the effects of ageing.

Bhavik Patel

Meet Bhavik the new member of our team!

"Hi I am Bhavik Patel and I am from Preston. I grew up locally so I am very familiar with Penwortham. I graduated as a chiropractor in 2019, after 4 years of full time training, from the Welsh Institute of Chiropractic at the University of South Wales.

My goal as a chiropractor is to improve the quality of life for my patients and help them maintain that improvement, no matter their age. This not only includes reducing pain, but restoring function to injured areas of the body. Whilst preventative care plays an essential role in my management, I aim to reduce people’s aches and pains, getting them back on track with their lives.

I hope to see you soon and look forward to working with you to reduce your symptoms and meet your goals!

My working hours are: Tuesday and Thursday all day and Wednesday, Friday and Saturday mornings."
